Adam King - Lead Pastor

Hey friends! I have been in ministry for 15 years, and served as both a Student and Next Gen Pastor before planting Family Church. One of the highlights for me was seeing students experience the freedom that Jesus gives, and found great joy in walking alongside them as they navigated some of the most interesting years of their lives. This was the long-term plan for me, but a few years ago God began to do a work in my heart that led to a passion for planting something that reflected the early church of Acts 2.

I married my beautiful wife Jade in 2011, and have 2 daughters, Lennon (9) and Everly (8). Music is a huge part of family life, having grown up in a musical family myself. I was raised on basketball, and developed a deep love for the Tar Heels as a young kid. I am also a bit of a coffee snob, and would love to talk shop with you whenever you have some time. We love meeting new families, as well as spending time with close friends, especially over a home-cooked meal.

We are looking forward to meeting you and hearing your story!

My name is Kathi May and I am the Administrative Assistant here at Family Church.  I enjoy helping our church organizationally so that we can focus on loving and serving God, one another and our community well.

My husband, Daryl, and I have been in the Cary/Apex area since 1994 after relocating from South Florida.  We have three grown kids and five grandchildren who we love spending as much time as we can with!  When the kids and grands aren’t available I enjoy gardening, college football and boating on Jordan Lake with Daryl.

I am originally from Pennsylvania. My wife Cindy and I have three grown children and seven grandchildren. A passion of mine are the people of Kenya. I have been there on short term missions 24 times since 2009. While relaxing, I enjoy watching college football, especially my alma mater, Penn State. I also enjoy vacationing with my family at DisneyWorld and many other places.

My desire is to grow in the Lord so that I can be a better shepherd elder at Family Chuch.
